In Memory of Bob Mauterstock

Bob Mauterstock passed away in July 2026, leaving behind a remarkable legacy in the financial services industry and in the lives of the families, advisors, and professionals he helped throughout his career.

For more than 35 years, Bob dedicated himself to helping families prepare for retirement, navigate the challenges of aging, and have meaningful conversations about their financial future and legacy. As a Certified Financial Planner, author, speaker, educator, and advisor, his work had a lasting impact on both the families he served and the financial professionals he mentored.

Bob was also an important contributor to the Elder Planning Specialist program. His knowledge and experience in eldercare planning, diminished capacity, retirement planning, and family communication helped shape the education provided to financial professionals through the program.

We are deeply grateful for Bob’s contributions, his commitment to the financial services profession, and the wisdom he shared so generously. His work will continue to influence the Elder Planning Specialist community and the many people he helped throughout his life.
