Our Story

After retiring from his financial planning practice seven years ago, Bob Mauterstock immersed himself in engaging with financial advisors all over the country, from whom he gleaned invaluable insights. Among the most striking revelations was the scarcity of preparedness among financial advisors to address the myriad challenges faced by their aging clients.

Throughout their careers, many advisors had primarily focused on building their clients' assets for retirement and overseeing their finances to achieve these objectives. However, with the retirement of a significant number of clients (approximately 10,000 boomers per day), they found themselves lacking the necessary expertise to safeguard their clients against the potential hardships of long-term care and the complexities of aging.

A crucial aspect often overlooked was the lack of essential conversations within families to ensure a secure retirement for elderly parents and ensure a seamless transfer of their legacy to the next generation.

Bob met Annalee Kruger, whose business, Care Right Inc., had been successfully assisting families for over a decade in devising long-term care solutions and providing essential support for their aging loved ones. Together, Bob and Annalee recognized the significance of an education program tailored to train financial advisors in navigating the challenges of aging alongside their clients. The result of their collaboration is the comprehensive "Elder Planning Specialist Program" designed specifically for financial advisors.

This web-based program will encompass ten modules, covering topics ranging from Medicare and Medicaid to Legacy Planning. Financial advisors are encouraged not to lag behind their competitors and to embrace the opportunity of becoming an Elder Planning Specialist.
